Curated and Hosted by @fairchild.revue (instagram)
Performances by: Earthtones, Yako, The Chris Sanchez Experience
July 7th, 2024 @ Eddie’s Attic (515 N McDonough St, Decatur, Ga 30030)
What was it like to go to the show?
Good question! The place is in Decatur, which apparently is becoming a city in it’s own right. The place gives a speak easy vibe as you come in through the side door like a Vegas showgirl, walk up the stairs to meet the ticket . Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 8pm.

They are
earthTones
A group compromised of individual artists
“Sean is the drummer, Joey is on guitar and Syd is on bass. And Zain! Zain on keys.”
The comedy! I saw real artists up there. Not people pretending to be singers, but instead real people. So much great energy here.
Rocky is interacting with crowd as he introduces his A Fool’s Heart,
“How much should love cost?” he asks the crowd and puts the mic to my mouth for an answer- my life flashes before my eyes and I recall a reel from instagram that I received a few hours prior to the show-
“Free.99!” I say with glee. And the show goes on. phew
(FORESHADOWING)
Once it is time for the last song, Treston starts going wild on the mic singing “They not like us! They not like us! They not like us!” before Rocky cuts him off saying- “we not doing that, bro.”

So much more about Yako HERE

“Who has the best shoes?”
Yako asks the crowd as she prepares her instrument and equipment for the next song. I throw my foot, in my Vibrams aka toe shoes, in the air so high it is basically like I am raising my hand-
“I do! Yako! It’s me!”
and the crowd is thinking what @jadonliantoine says into the mic
“Why are you so flexible?!”
“I work on it!” I say excited to be a part of the show. :)

The Chris Sanchez Experience
You want ambiance? This is it baby. Personally, ambient sounds have been really fitting for the current soundtrack of my life, albums from Medasin and jazzy sounds like berlioz are my favorite right now. Like these artists, his music seems to be focused on tone and atmosphere to create a peaceful sound of creative flow. I was not familiar with The Chris Sanchez Experience before now- and I am in love with his sound.
They were so cute up there, admiring each other’s talent- inviting Rocky, Noa, and Yako to sing with them. Celebrating Owen (@fairchild.revue) for constructing the whole evening for us to enjoy.
I was in a trance listening to them play. Love the red lighting vibe too.
(This is the last song) My favorite part is Rocky coming up and he starts rapping word for word Kendrick Lamar’s “Not like Us” to do a ambient rendition of Outcast’s So Fresh, So Clean. Literally the most serial moment I have been in. in a while. Everyone dancing on Drake’s grave like that…
Whatta way to build community.

Thank you for reading the site and interacting with the creatives listed.
Thank you to the Owen, Yako, Treston, Noa, Rocky, for letting me sit front row. And THANK YOU to everyone who attended and added their energy to the evening. Your participation is so valuable- you are changing lives and thus changing the world.
